Bogusław Linda Receives the 39th Tarnów Film Award!
Bogusław Linda, co-founder of the Warsaw Film School and the High School of Film and Game Creation, has been awarded the 39th Tarnów Film Award!
The jury of the 39th edition of the Tarnów Film Award honored one of the most outstanding Polish film and theater actors, as well as a director, screenwriter, and educator, granting him the award for lifetime achievement and his contribution to the development of Polish cinema.
There is no Polish cinema without Bogusław Linda. His bold performances have earned him the title of one of the most popular and beloved Polish actors, and the characters he has brought to life still remain vivid in our memory. The works he has co-created over the decades continue to move audiences and form a significant part of Polish cultural heritage.
He is especially recognized for his unforgettable roles in such films as:
- Fever (1980) and A Lonely Woman (1981) by Agnieszka Holland
- Man of Iron (1981), Danton (1983), and Pan Tadeusz (1999) by Andrzej Wajda
- Blind Chance (1981) by Krzysztof Kieślowski
- Pigs (1992) by Władysław Pasikowski

Bogusław Linda’s role as a director, screenwriter, and educator is also of immense importance. He is actively involved in the development of both the High School of Film and the Warsaw Film School. His experience and knowledge are essential in shaping a new generation of Polish filmmakers.
