International students' successes on film festivals!
In Warsaw Film School you can find two international courses:
- Film directing- program offers theory and practical skills how to make a film from script to screen.
- Cinematography & post- production – you can learn about technical and creative aspects of camera operation, lighting, editing and digital post-production.
The past few months have been very fortunate for our international students. Many of them created unique short films that touched people's hearts around the world. Several entries participated in international competitions and showcases, with some even winning awards. Different countries bring different perspectives, and we are proud to share these new film ideas globally with our students.
Students from the Warsaw Film School have been particularly successful, consistently demonstrating their talent and creativity. Their work has been recognized not only at local festivals but also on an international stage. These achievements are a testament to the high-quality education and support they receive at our institution.
Our students' films explore a wide range of themes, showcasing their ability to tell compelling stories that resonate with diverse audiences. The Warsaw Film School remains committed to nurturing this talent, providing opportunities for growth and exposure.
We look forward to seeing more groundbreaking work from our students and celebrating their future successes. We are inspired by their passion for filmmaking, and we are excited to continue supporting them on their creative journeys.

”First last month” is a coming-of-age short film about family connections, love, childhood, maturity and old age collapsing. Since Doina, a 12-year-old girl has her first period on the day her grandma has a stroke, their roles are inverted. Grandma, who is now mute and has half of her body disabled, becomes an innocent, curious kid. On the other hand, Doina goes into a forced maturity experience, having the responsibilities of an adult. When Doina’s dad considers taking grandma to a nursery home, the girl has to prove to him that she is mature enough to take care and keep her only mother figure close to her.
